Uranus Bruyant is a funk brass band with lots of peps. Created 15 years
ago or so at the Art School of Rennes, in Brittany, it has gradually
become professional, distinguishing itself in many festivals in France
and abroad (Spain, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Great-Britain, Italy,
Russia and even in the US). The band is composed of eight musicians
(two saxophones, a trumpet, a trombone, plus a banjo, a tuba and a
portable drum set for the rhythm section) playing original
compositions. Their implacable groove irrepressibly leads audiences to
dance. Their solid touring experience has given them total ease on
stage, and their lively, festive style is terribly contagious.
