Joanne Mc Iver, remarquable chanteuse, joueuse de cornemuses et de flûtes, est native de l’Ile d’Arran, au large de l’Ecosse. La suite musicale qu’elle nous propose aujourd’hui, en compagnie de Christophe Saunière, virtuose de la harpe, est consacrée à un conte inspiré par les trois menhirs de Machrie, sur la côte Ouest de l’île, figurant les trois sœurs pétrifiées de la légende.
Charme des compositions, talent de l’interprétation, tout concourt a faire de ce voyage dans l’univers doux et farouche à la fois de la tradition écossaise un moment de poésie rare.

A remarkable singer and bagpipe player, Joanne McIver hails from the Isle of Arran, off Scotland. Along with the virtuoso harpist Christophe Saunière, she now presents a musical suite inspired by the legend of the three Machrie standing stones, on the west coast of Arran.
The charm of the melodies and the talent of the interpretation enrich this journey into the soft yet fiery world of the Scottish tradition, making it a moment of rare poetry.
